About Colleen Casner
Colleen was born and educated in upstate New York and relocated to Connecticut in the late 1970's. She has a Bachelor of Arts in sociology and worked full time in a Connecticut public high school until her retirement in the fall of 2022. Colleen was one of a collection of artists represented in 'Artists of East Haddam', a book released in the Spring of 2010. Her biography and several of her floor cloths were featured. Her mixed media painting "Summer Adirondacks" was on the cover of the 'itowns' insert of The Hartford Courant in August 2010. She is the recipient of the ArtMajeur International Silver Award for 2009, 2010, and 2012. She served as a board member for the CT River Artisans and exhibited her work there for 3 years.Currently she...
